Mikado Logo 700 XXTREME - Assembly Chassis

The Mikado Logo 700 XXTREME   an electric powered helicopter classed at 700 for its usage of 700mm to 715mm main blade sizes. Power requirements are 4500mah 12s1p lipo configurations and higher. Its a large size competition class machine!

In the box you will find an A3 sized printed color manual in two languages German and English.

The chassis comes pre assembled with screws, however as the manual has indicated, he just have to apply thread locker. I started with the M2.5 screws first, and left the M3 screws un-tightened for later access. The carbon fiber frames are of nice quality. This is the "V2" kit that has the 1mm frame with reinforcements packed from the factory.

Greasing the ball bearings when i can! Some Dura-Ace tacky grease will do the trick.

Preparing the motor mount for pinion and main gear alignment.
I checked that the motor mount screws do not extend into the motor coils.

The pinion grub screw will not be tighten at this time so we can align the herring bone gear mesh first. The gear mesh should be snug fit without free play, but not too tight until considerable force is required, it would spin freely since the pinion grub screw is not tightened. I then hand tighten the M3 x 10 mm cap screws without thread locker.

Checking that the herring bone main gear laterally aligned with the pinion V groove, then apply strong thread locker on the eight M3 X10 cap screws when gear mesh is acceptable. Finally apply strong thread locker to pinion grub screw to lock it!
