Mikado Logo 700 XXTREME - Assembly Tail Mechanics

Assembling the tail drive gearbox, at the same time adjusting the bevel gear mesh nicely will prevent pre-mature bevel gear wear, added shims if required. All screws require locktite!

Some grease is good for the rotating parts, and X-Acto hobby knife cuts away a little plastic flaring in the plastic tail grips. I Check the tail bevel gearing for smooth meshing and add shims when required.

The tail mechanism is dampened and with ease of maintenance in mind.

Torque tube bearings needs to be glued at different distances preventing harmonic resonances, the distances are described in the illustrated manual. Boom supports need to be glued. After threaded rods are attached, they need to be glued too. 5 min epoxy and some tape will do the job!
